Thank you for helping me out at such short notice. I couldn’t get my hands on a Windows Xp installation cd. I think I lost it. Can I find this file anywhere else? On the other hand, is it possible for me to find an installation cd? Thank you in advance!

From the details you have given, the problem is with your Windows XP installation CD. The original Windows XP installation CD does not contain a particular file named ‘wups2.dll’. This file gets removed automatically when the original XP CD media is used. This can be fixed easily by registering the ‘wups2.dll’ file. I hope this helps!

You should always change the power settings to ‘balanced’ or ‘battery saver’ mode. It is recommended to keep the brightness at minimum level. Always charge the battery until it gets full and unplug the charger. Charge again only when the battery level is zero.

This is true. I noticed that there is a notification box in Windows taskbar that says I should consider replacing my battery. I think this may be because it has been a long time since I am using it. Thanks for bringing it to my notice. Can you suggest some tips to increase the battery’s performance?

This error is commonly seen when there are problems with your laptop battery. It may happen that your battery is very weak and it switches off automatically when low in power. I am using Windows Vista on my Acer laptop. Occasionally, when I return to my laptop after not using it for a while (keeping it on), I see the blue screen of death.
